Blue Topaz is the birthstone of December, it also is the Stone of the Star Sign Sagittarius and the Anniversary Gemstone of the 4th, 19th, and 23de year of marriage.

Topaz occurs in a wide range of colors including red, orange, brown, pink, gold, yellow, peach, blue and clear and is found in Brazil, Pakistan, Russia, Sri Lanka.

Topaz is a very hard gemstone, and gets a 8 on “Mohs Scale”, but it can be damaged with hard impact, and care should be taken as with most Jewellery.
