Tanzanite is a blue purplish variety of the mineral zoisite that was allegedly found for the first time in 1967.  It was name after it country of Origin Tanzania. Tiffany and Co. was the first know Jeweler to use the gemstone in 1969.

It is comparable with the finest Sapphire and has a rich Blue and Purple color.

It its Natural form it is Brown.  However with precise heating the color appears as if it is Magic.
